New update just dropped!
Usability Improvements on Mobile
We're working on making the website experience as good as possible on mobile AND desktop, so we've made a lot of cool new changed to the mobile version.
Forum UI improvements:
We've done many UI improvements in the forum layout when viewed on mobile, such as reorganizing where the post dates and last replies where, etc.
Website Header Improvements:
Previously, your username and data (profile picture, level, etc) was too clumped at the website header when viewed on mobile. Now it only shows your profile picture and level and the rest of the content is displayed when you click on it.
Jams UI improvements:
The jam date was too clumped on mobile, now fixed. We've also fixed the big texts showing in the jam previews at /jam.
General UI improvements:
We moved the comment dates to bellow the username when viewed from mobile to make it less clumped.
User Profile:
We've removed the "Contact" section, since we do have a "Send Message" button.
Students Games Share Preview
Now when you share the link of your game on WhatsApp, etc, it will try to get the game thumbnail and show as a preview.

August 10th – Update
Hey everyone! 🎉
A brand new week is here, and we’re kicking it off with a TON of awesome new features going live for all our users. Let’s dive in!
🚀 What’s NEW?
❤️ You can now LIKE content!
Loved a forum post, blog article, reply, or an incredible student game? Now you can show your appreciation by clicking the heart button! Likes are also available for game jams — go spread some love!
🖼 Forum posts now support images!
Some forum categories now allow you to upload up to 5 images that appear right at the top of your post.
- Certain categories won’t allow images (to keep things focused).
- Others will require an image — and those posts will appear in a sleek grid view, using your first image as the thumbnail.
Perfect for art showcases, work-in-progress games, and other creative posts.
🔔 New content notifications!
Never miss out again! You’ll now see a number badge in the header whenever there’s fresh content — new student games, blogs, forum posts, or game jams. Plus, new items will have a shiny “NEW” label.
🏆 Past Game Jam highlights!
Game jam entries now get the spotlight they deserve! All submissions will be featured on the /jam page until the next event starts.
🔮 What’s NEXT?
We’ve got something big in the works…
Our upcoming FEED feature will bring a social media-style experience to the site. Imagine Instagram, Reddit, or Facebook — but 100% focused on game development.
- One unified feed for forum posts, blogs, student games, jams, and more.
- Fast, easy, and fun to browse.
- The ultimate way to stay connected with the community and never miss exciting updates.
Get ready — the future is going to be awesome. 🚀

August 21 – Website Update
Hello everyone! 🚀
We’re back with another round of exciting improvements to the Uniday website. Here’s what’s new:
🌟 Cave Engine’s New Home
Cave Engine now has its dedicated space on the site!
- You’ll find it in the top header under “Apps”.
- From there, you can explore more about the engine and, if you already own it, manage your downloads and access options with improved efficiency and security.
🔔 Instant Reply Notifications
No more missing out on conversations!
- Whenever someone replies to your post or comments on your game, Uniday Bot will send you a direct message.
- Staying connected with the community just got easier.
📰 New "Feed" Forum Category
You can now post directly to the feed thanks to the brand-new Feed category. This makes sharing updates, thoughts, and discussions faster and more natural.
✨ Quality of Life Improvements
We’ve also polished many parts of the site:
- A cleaner, more readable blog post layout.
- A richer feed experience with larger images and more content.
- Plus, countless small UX tweaks and fixes across the board.
Thanks for being part of this journey—your support makes these improvements possible. We hope you enjoy the new update, and as always, feel free to share your feedback!

September 9 - Website Updates
Hello, everyone! Small updates for y'all, but exciting ones! Starting with the most epic one:
🌟 Now you can Upload Images!
When posting or replying to a post, you will see an image upload section that allows you to upload images and copy them to paste as markdown in your post.
🚀 Add our website to your Home Screen or to Desktop!
I'm working on a PWA integration for the website, so you will be able to add it to your home screen (IOS or Android) or to your Desktop (PC). Simply log in, then click your user profile on the top right corner and you will see an "Install App" button. If you don't, please report or DM me with extra info and I'll help you.
