Jumpo vs Slimeys
Oh, no! Jumpo got shrunk, and now he has to avoid slimeys and acid pits while collecting coins to get home! A game made in two days for the first Tiniest2D game jam.
About This Game
Jump vs Slimeys is a teeny-tiny game made using the Tiniest2D game engine from Uniday Studio. It was made for their jam to celebrate the release of the program. While the game is now very barebones, it's playable, and you can win.
Directions: Arrows to move, including up to jump.
I'm hoping to include more levels soon, and to eventually put out videos showing how to work in Tiniest2D (think a faster, easier, less-powerful PICO-8 and you're on the right track). Please let me know of anything you'd like to see added.
Thanks to Hayden Zegley, whose gorgeous platformer character art I hacked to make mine. Thanks, too, to Tienlev for their slime asset. And many thanks to the geniuses at Uniday for making Tiniest2D!
The Journey of Making This Game
I had a lot of fun making this game. I've been using such programs as PICO-8 and PICOTRON in the past (and I still plan to use them. Development was easy once I got into it. There is a learning curve, but once you have your code and behavior down, it's very easy to keep going.
How Uniday Studio Helped
The tutorials, videos, and chatbot were all helpful. Plus Guilherme was super kind about everything.
