About This Game

Stove is a lightweight 3D modeling and texture-painting application built specifically for creating low-poly, stylized, and retro game assets.

Instead of trying to be another all-purpose 3D suite, Stove focuses on one thing: getting you from an idea to a finished, textured game asset as quickly as possible. Open Stove, start from a primitive or import an OBJ, model your asset, let Stove generate the UVs for you, paint directly on the model, and export the finished result as OBJ.

A simpler 3D workflow

Stove is organized around three straightforward modes:

  • View: inspect your finished asset without editing overlays getting in the way.
  • Model: create and edit your geometry with familiar vertex, edge, and face modeling tools.
  • Paint: paint the texture directly onto the 3D surface without having to manage a UV editor.
  • Zoo: check all your assets in one place to quickly visualize, adjust and improve them all.

UV generation is handled automatically, so you can spend your time working on the asset instead of manually arranging UV islands.

Built for Game Assets

Stove is designed around the kind of assets you actually need when making stylized and retro games: props, weapons, vegetation, rocks, furniture, vehicles, simple non animated characters, and more.

Projects can contain multiple independent assets, and Zoo Mode lets you arrange and view your entire collection together, giving you a quick visual overview of everything you've created.

Focused by Design

There are no complicated workspaces, modifier stacks, node editors, PBR material graphs, rendering pipelines, or dozens of panels competing for your attention.

Stove keeps the workflow intentionally small:

Model. Paint. Export.

That's it.

The result is a fast, clean 3D tool made for developers and artists who want to spend more time creating assets and less time configuring software.

What Stove is NOT for:

  • Stove is not designed for realistic or high-poly modeling, rendering, or complex 3D production workflows.

  • It is also not a scene composition tool. You cannot use Stove to build complete environments, arrange levels, place lights and cameras, or compose a finished scene.

  • Stove is not an animation software and currently does not have support for bones, armatures and skeletal animation.

Stove is specifically built for creating individual game assets, painting them, and exporting them to be used inside a game engine.

Hey! I'd like to buy it and try it out, but I need something to be verified first. Does Stove have Linux support? I couldn't find anything on the YT video or the Itch.io page

I like this very much, I made a project that was similar a few months ago but it was buggy and this is def more polished then what I made. Also can you consider adding Loop Cuts with CTL+R? Last thing, I would like to work with you if you ever do Godot Engine related stuff and your art style is the same as mine.
